Cómo revisa KudosNest la tarea
Esta página se muestra en inglés hasta que se revise su traducción.
You take a photo of a math page. In about 20 seconds KudosNest shows you which answers look right, which don't, and the first step where the thinking went wrong. Here is what happens in between, and how we test it.
What happens to the photo
- A parent takes the photo in parent mode. Children never take homework photos.
- The photo goes to our server, then to our AI provider, Anthropic, which reads the page: each question, your child's answer and the working shown. Under its commercial terms, Anthropic does not use this content to train its models, and neither do we.
- Each answer is marked correct, not quite, or "please check" when the handwriting is hard to read or the question is unclear. For mistakes you get a short note: where it went wrong and why, in words you can explain at the kitchen table.
- The photo is deleted from our servers within 24 hours. The results stay in your family's history until you delete them.
You have the last word
AI can misread handwriting or judge a question wrongly. KudosNest is built for that: it tells you when it is unsure, and you can change any result with one tap. Your correction counts. Please treat the results as a helper, not a final grade.
Hints, never answers
Results and correct answers are shown in parent mode only. If your child gets stuck, Roo can give up to three hints per question, and each hint is a guiding question. This is enforced twice: the instructions to the AI forbid answers, and the app checks every hint and replaces any hint that contains the answer before your child sees it.
How we test accuracy
Before a change to homework checking ships, we run it against a set of real and printed worksheet pages whose correct marks we already know, and measure how many questions it marks correctly, how often it calls a wrong answer right (the most harmful mistake) and what each page costs.
- The bar for launch is at least 95% of questions marked correctly on primary-school math. Below 90%, homework checking does not ship.
- The test set is growing toward about 100 pages in English, Spanish, French and Vietnamese, grades 1 to 9, with messy handwriting, fractions, word problems and multi-step problems counted separately.
- We will publish the results here once the set is large enough for the numbers to mean something. We won't quote an accuracy figure before then.
What it does not do yet
- Only math. Reading, writing and other subjects are not checked.
- It checks the work on the page; it does not know your child's teacher's method or marking scheme.
